모린 맥거번(Maureen McGovern)은 1970년대 초반
 2편의 재난 영화를 통해서 전 세계에 자신의 이름을 알렸다
1973년에는 해상 재난 영화였던 <포세이돈 어드벤처>의 주제곡
The Morning after로 오스카상은 물론 빌보드 싱글 차트에 올랐고 ,
다음해 <타워링>의 주제가  불러 2년 연속 아카데미 주제가 상을 수상했다.

이 영화에서 모린은 가수로 잠시 카메오로 출연하기도 했는데,
그녀는 이 두 곡으로 '재난의 여왕'이라는 별명을 얻었다
