Dog-men & their mean women
pulling poor blankets over our sailors

우리의 항해를 덮는 싸구려 담요를 끌고가는

견인(犬人)과 그들의 하잘것 없는 여자

 

I'm sick of dour faces starong at me from the T.V. Tower

난 TV 에서 응시하는 침울한 얼굴이 지겹다.

 I want roses in my garden bower; dig?

정원 그늘 속 장미를 원한다

 

Royal babies, rubies must now replace aborted Strangers in the mud

고귀한 아이들과 여자들은 낙태된 먼지의 낯선사람으로 되돌려야 한다

 

These mutants, blood-meal for the plant that's plowed

돌연변이들, 경작된 식물을 위한 피로 만든 음식

 

they are waiting to take us into the severed garden

그들은 우리를 갈라진 정원으로 데려가기 위해 기다린다

 

Do you know how pale & wanton thrillful comes death on a stranger hour

얼마나 고통스럽고 오싹한지 아는가. 죽음이 이상한 시간 속에서 온다

 

 

unannounced, unplanned for

예고없이, 계획없이

 like a scaring over-friendly guest you've brought to bed

친근한 손님에게 상처를 가하듯이 당신은 침대에 눕혀진다

 

Death makes angels of us all and gives us wings
where we had shoulders smooth as raven's claws

죽음은 우리의 모든 것과 까마귀가 손톱으로 움켜쥔

우리의 어깨에 있는 날개로 우리의 천사를 만든다

 

No more money, no more fancy dress

돈도 필요없고, 옷도 필요없다

 

This other kingdom seems by far the best

until its other jaw reveals incest

And loose obedience to a vegetable law

이 왕국은 야심의 이를 드러내고 근친상간하고

단조로운 법에 복종하는 것을 잃을 때까지

최고인 듯 보인다.
